Property appraisal or formal valuation?

Two different forms of property opinion, used for different decisions.

01

An agent appraisal supports a selling conversation.

An agent appraisal considers relevant market evidence, the property and likely buyer context to discuss a possible sale strategy and price position. It is generally prepared for a potential property campaign and is not a formal valuation.

02

A formal valuation serves formal purposes.

A formal valuation is prepared by an appropriately qualified valuer for a defined purpose and date. Lending, legal, taxation, family law and other circumstances may require this different professional service.

03

Choose the service by the decision you need to make.

If you are considering a sale, an agent appraisal can help frame presentation, timing and campaign options. If another party or process requires a valuation, confirm the required qualification, scope and documentation before engaging the professional.
